i changed the battery in my citroen key fob. the car locks and unlocks but the engine wont start. it comes up with immobilisor fault. i contacted a citroen garage and they said i need a new key and it will need to be recoded. can i possible be able to do this myself.Is it possible to reset a citroen transponder key yourself.?

You should be able to change the battery without ruining the key altogether. Some times you have to change it within a few minutes or it will deprogramme.
Sounds like dealer is trying to make some money out of you.
The owners manual, a chore to read, should tell you how to reprogramme the key if it is possible.
