You should be able to contact the dealer and they will be able to give you a code. Most times this will allow you to unlock the vehicles anti-theft system. If this does not work then when you changed the battery you could have sent a power surge through the electrical system which burnt up the sensors in the Anti-theft control module. This is in the steering column and fairly easy to replace is you are mechanically minded. In the future you should use a battery jump-pack that has and adapter to plug into your cigarette lighter or power outlet, this will allow you to save all the engine codes and memory for the vehicle.Changed battery on my 04 tahoe and now a car with a lock lights up on my dash and car still wont start??

your car thinks its been stolen. Shouldnt do the work yourself if you dont know what to do. youre probably gonna need to get it towed to the dealer, because it sounds to me like you fried your anti-theft module.Changed battery on my 04 tahoe and now a car with a lock lights up on my dash and car still wont start??
