30 amp maxi fuse under hood fuse panelI jumped someones car and now mine is messed up??
Was your Engine Running? Should Have Been. May have %26quot;Jumped Incorrectly%26quot; Check Fuses in %26quot;Maim Fuse/Relay Box%26quot; by the Battery.I jumped someones car and now mine is messed up??
Try disconnecting your battery for an hour, then hook it back up and see if that fixes it.I jumped someones car and now mine is messed up??
If your car has two fuseboxes, did you check all the fuses? There may also be circuit breakers for the windows or the lights, they may have to be replaced as well. Without knowing what kind of car you have it makes it a little harder to tell, but I would double check all the fuse boxes and fuses.I jumped someones car and now mine is messed up??
I think the preceeding poster meant to tell you that there are 3 types of fuses/breakers:
1) The easy to reach ones at the bottom of the dashboard, usually by the driver door.
2) The ones under the hood of the car. Usually near the battery or alternator. Not so easy to reach, and be careful when you open the lid and poke inside: There are high volts and or high amps, depending on the circuit involved.
3) There are slso ones in the dashboard and/or in door panels etc. You need to be a mechanic to access these. Stupid place to put them, but then they rarely go wrong...
I think the issue is %26quot;What did you do right/wrong when you boosted that car?%26quot; Sounds like there was feedback.
Did you sheck your wiring? Are all connections tight? Any melted ones? Are your battry cables ok?
Often also in a piece of wiring, somewhere along the wire, there might be a fusible link. It's going to be a b*ch to trace that....
At the very least, if you think you can do this yourself, have a second person there to help you keep track of things. And try to buy, or borrow an indepth manual for your car -- one of those CCh or master mechanic ones. You may find some clues in there.
In any case, think back about everything you did giving that boost and jot down some notes. And if you go see a mechanic, go see one that specializes in vehicle electronics.
