I was wondering if its possible to change my manual windows and locks to electric. i have a 1993 civic hatchback. i was thinking about buying doors from the scrap yard that are electric but there's no were to put the wires. Is this possible tho and how can i get it done ?How to add power locks and windows to my car ?
When you're at the auto recycle yard (they don't call em 'scrap yards' anymore), also get the grommet (small rubber doughnut type things) that protect the wires from the metal edge of the body.
It will be VASTLY easier if the doner doors have the switches in the arm rests (most do) - then you just provide power (and ground).
The wires will have to go through the body of your car at a point the matches up with where they come out of the recycled doors.
