car and gear is in P (parking) I push the break and want to change it from P to D4 or R (reversed) but it is locked and does not move
I end up turining off the engine and re starting the vehicle, pressing the break again and again, until it shifts
whats the problem ? Am I missing something

if you ABS light is on then you have some brake problems that are causing this to happen ... best get the brakes check out and fixed.
