My car does not have power and wont start?

The car ran fine 5 hours before it died. I went to turn it on later that night and the power locks worked and I put my key in the ignition and both dashboard and exterior lights came on i then went on to turn the car on and everything went dead, no engine starting noise or anything. I tried again and no lights of any sort turned on...i had to lock all the doors manually as there was no power. The battery was changed three months ago, and it was raining when the car died? Any thoughts? Could it be a blown fuse?My car does not have power and wont start?
check the alternatorMy car does not have power and wont start?
Check the connections at the battery. Turn your key to the on position and your lights on and then wiggle each wire one at a time and see if one makes every thing come on if it does take it off and put it back on. If that doesn't work jump it off and take it back to where you got the battery. I have seen new batteries go bad sooner than that. It defiantly is a connection or the new batteryMy car does not have power and wont start?
i will tell you its definatly NOT the alternator. The alternator only runs when the car runs, so it doesnt make sense in this situation (unless your car was randomly shutting off while you were driving it). I'de get the battery checked out. Just because it was charged, doesnt mean its a good battery. The reason all the lights went out when you cranked the key is because the starter tries to draw a large amount of current. If the battery doesnt have enough juice, it cant run all the lights and the starter at the same time. If the battery checks out good, then its probably the starter itself. My car does not have power and wont start?
sounds like a poor battery terminal connection. check the battery post and see if there is any corrosion. also wiggle the battery cables and see if they're loose. good luck!
